As part of his
"Capital for the Day"
program on November 2, 2005, Governor Doyle made a stop
in Pittsville to tour
a cranberry bog, observe a cranberry harvest, and visit a cranberry
cleaning station with Pittsville FFA students. After his tour Governor
Doyle sent this message: "To
Pittsville High School Students, Thanks for the
great cranberry tour. It was enjoyable and educational." -
Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle
